Seriously? Have you been on the internet recently? “Derpy” is a widely-accepted term for “Silly.” Derpy was one of my favourite characters/IS one of my favourite characters. Most of the people who made MLP popular love her.
I personally don’t find her ‘offensive’ in any way. If kids who watch the show don’t know about mentally-disabled people (Which Derpy is not, btw. She’s just ditzy, clutzy, and DERPY) they do now. The characters treat Derpy as a fellow pony, and really, are sending out the message that mentally-disabled people are just like everyone else.
(Won’t let me reblog properly. Darn it.)
- “It’s ableist to say that people with different faces are disabled” — Um, no, no one ever said this was about ALL people with disabilities, or that people with different faces are somehow automatically disabled. What’s ableist is not acknowledging that some people with “derp faces” do exist.

Haha, I have so many friends, it’s difficult just picking one in reality and 2 on DeviantART.
I pick my friend Matthew C. in reality because he’s just such an amazing individual. And on DeviantART, I suppose I should pick Shirokaze2012 and Cornelious-Raidon. They’re two of the lovliest people you’ll meet. All of my friends have absolutely lovely quirks and personalities. Even if I didn’t list them, I love them all dearly.

Still wondering what Occupy Wall Street is protesting? The common thread is institutional inequality. Here are some infographics. (Images via.)
As much as I enjoy seeing people come together for a common cause, so to say, I don’t think what they’re protesting is worth protesting. Perhaps if they protested something that sounded less like they’re being greedy and wanting money handouts?
For the record, I’ve talked with and interviewed many Occupy members from different cities. They aren’t dumb. I just think they have their priorities in the wrong order.
Just an opinion. Don’t hate.
